Charlotte began her health care career first serving in the hospital setting, helping one Washington state facility transition to a new Medicaid system. Charlotte and her team pulled off what many considered impossible, going live on the new system in just six months. Her efforts ensured they could be paid with no gap in reimbursement.
Like her colleagues at V2V, what Charlotte learned from the experience was that “doctors just want to be doctors.” Since that first go-live, Charlotte’s role has continued to be one of helping physicians focus on what they do best by doing such things as streamlining their credentialing process, as well as facilitating office set up and provider onboarding.
Charlotte is the person you want on your team when there is detail needed to get the job accomplished. She ensures the office is well-organized and oversees proper billing for timely payments, with key deadlines met.
Charlotte calls her work, “Not glamorous, but very important.” We think there’s no better skillset to be found in this industry, serving as a transformationist during such an era of transition to new payment models. Sorting out the complicated details of an interrelated and complex industry is what Charlotte does best.
Seeing the whole continuum come together is what continues to motivate her.
A few years ago, Charlotte and her husband spent two years sailing around the Bahamas and British Virgin Islands. She says the ocean teaches you something about “going with the flow,” an attitude that has served her well in the profession of health care.
