Andrew Craigie is a Bellingham Washington native and retired CEO of Garfield County Public Hospital District No. 1, Pomeroy Washington. Mr. Craigie is a graduate of Washington State University with a degree in Business Administration, emphasis Hospitality, and a Master of Healthcare Administration from St. Josephs College of Maine. He has served in both public and private enterprise.
He began his career with Marriott Corporation where he quickly advanced into a regional sales management capacity, eventually leaving Marriott and joining Sunrise Senior Living Services as an Executive Director. In 2000 Andrew joined Garfield County Hospital where he led the organization in developing best practices in culture change and rapid process improvement. Mr. Craigie has extensive experience in system standards development, financial management, staff development and process improvement methods.
He has a thorough understanding of Critical Access Hospital and rural health systems issues including many years of public hospital district regulatory compliance and health system administration. Andrew has served on the boards of Qualis Health, the Critical Access Hospital Network, Washington State Hospital Association and the Association of Washington Public Hospital Districts.
